Pressure loss through resistance in the hose

When considering pressure at the spray tip, one should take into account the fact that there will be some loss of pressure as liquid moves through the hose, since the movement creates resistance in the liquid flow. For example, in a hose with a diameter of φ8.5, pressure at pump (output point of motor sprayer) of 3.0 MPa, and a flow rate of 10 L/min, the pressure when the water has moved 100 meters through the hose will be 1.93 MPa, and pressure loss will amount to 1.07 MPa.
